The Arab Congregation and the Ideology of Genocide in Darfur , Sudan Print Written by aeltom editor By: Abdullahi Osman El-Tom, Ph.D. July 24th,07 Abstract: This article presents a number of documents bearing the name of the Arab Congregation of Western Sudan ( Darfur and Kordofan). It argues that attempts to annihilate indigenous Darfurians and appropriate their land are backed by Arab supremacist ideology that has been nursed over several decades. The article further argues that the Arab Congregation operates in close alliance with both national and regional circles that seek to expand what is defined as Arab belt deeper into Sub-Saharan Africa .

The CPA is certainly a landmark in the democratic history of the Sudan .   This basic fact seems to have been either overlooked by a substantial sector of Sudan ’s civic activists or elsewhere handled in a way that is emotive and devoid of a mature and flexible sense of realism.   This divide applies to both, members of the SPLM and others alike.

UN Ban Ki-Moon and his Drought Thesis of Darfur Conflict

September 07: In his first visit to Khartoum since his inauguration, September 3rd 07, UN Secretary Ban Ki-Moon engaged Albashir in a number of issues relating to Sudan intractable problems. Top among those issues was Darfur. For somebody like Mr. Ki-Moon and who has risen to one of the highest positions on earth, one would have expected him to show a better depth in reading conflicts like Darfur, and sounder resolve to deal with perpetrators of violence against humanity. Mr. Ki-Moon failed on both of these counts as he reflected on the causes of Darfur conflict and outlined his prophecies for its solution. Commenting on Darfur, Mr. Ki-Moon went:
